Title Biomedical Research and Development through the Elucidation, Measurement, and Application of Biological Functions
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We are looking for researchers who have excellent ability to promote leading and international research and development, and high motivation for social implementation of research results with the aim of contributing to the realization of "sustainable medicine," "health and environmental harmony," and the enhancement of economic growth and industrial competitiveness.
(1) Elucidation of biological functions, including elucidation of the mechanisms of biological phenomena and the search for marker molecules based on these mechanisms
(2) "Biofunctional measurement," including evaluation and measurement of biological phenomena, standardization of measurement to assure its reliability, and microbiome analysis
(3) "Biofunctional applications" such as modification and control of biological functions, utilization of biologically derived materials such as proteins and nucleic acids, and development and utilization of bioplastics.
Workplaces will be determined based on applicants' expertise and matching to the research topics in Biomedical Research Institute.

Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We are seeking researchers who have deep expertise on applied microbiology or plant biotechnology. It is highly requested that successful candidates have strong research interests in basic science as well as applied research contributing to solution of social issues. - Development of smart cell technology - Investigation of novel microbes and/or microbiota

- Development of proteomics and/or metabolomics technologies

Development of technologies to evaluate the functionality and safety of food. Technology that contributes to the medical and health industries by integrating bio-data and AI. 1) Practical application and social implementation of new technologies related to bioanalysis, biosensor, medical devices, healthcare, nursing, functional materials, food, and universal medical access, stress.
2) Fundamental research based on technologies other than those listed above、e.g.AI, image information processing, in silico analysis, cell engineering, that aims to contribute to health and medical engineering, as well as research for practical application and social implementation. We look forward to applications from highly specialized individuals in science and engineering, biomedical, and other fields who have excellent research and development achievements or commercialization experience and who are eager to work in collaboration both within and outside the institute. We also welcome challenges from other fields and industries.
