We seek individuals who can create cutting-edge technologies based on the elucidation of molecular mechanisms in cells, that will be utilized in the fields of medicine, drug discovery, and health and healthcare, and who can bridge the gap to companies and realize their implementation in society. Expected research fields are as follows;
1) Research on new therapeutic methods using cells and tissues and alternative technologies to animal experiments
2) Research on the application of bio-manufacturing technology to the medical field and reduction of environmental impact
3) Research to develop technologies to acquire novel omics information and implement them in the medical and health industries

To create innovations that will contribute to social issues such as declining birthrate and aging population, as well as economic growth and industrial competitiveness, we seek outstanding researchers who will work on the following research topics.
1) Development of novel methods to challenge the limits of ergonomics, physiological biochemistry, and visualization of mental and physical data on humans and their samples, research on data utilization, and research on device technologies.
2) Practical application and social implementation of new technologies related to health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment, biomaterials, healthcare, self-care, universal medical access, rehabilitation and nursing care, and living environment.
3) Research on elemental technologies that form the basis for the above and their fundamentals.
We look forward to applications from highly specialized individuals in science and engineering, biomedical, and other fields who have excellent research and development achievements or commercialization experience and who are eager to work in collaboration both within and outside the institute. We also welcome challenges from other fields and industries. Degrees are not required.

(2) "Measurement of biological function" such as development of analytical technology to evaluate life phenomena and measurement standardization to ensure reliability, and
