This privacy policy has been established with a view to protecting the privacy of visitors to the website of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as, “AIST”).

1.Basic premise

 AIST takes protecting the privacy of visitors to its website into consideration whilst operating said website. Personal information provided by visitors are managed appropriately in accordance with the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Independent Administrative Institutions, etc.".

(1)This website automatically collects Internet domain names, IP addresses, search queries, and other information related to browsing this website (access log). The information collected shall be utilized as references toward the smooth implementation of services offered by this website.

In accordance with Fundamental policy on Information security, AIST shall take necessary measures for prevention of leaks, losses or damages, as well as for appropriate management of information collected.

This privacy policy is applicable only to this website.
