The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as “AIST”) has established this Privacy Policy to protect the privacy of users of the AIST website.

(4)When necessary for the administration of events, tours, application processes, or similar activities, users may be requested to provide their name, address, affiliation, telephone number, and other relevant details. Information provided may be forwarded to relevant departments or organizations within the AIST Group in order to ensure the smooth operation of the event, tour, or similar activity. Additionally, statistically processed information may be made public.

3. Restrictions on Use and Disclosure

Except in cases of disclosure requests based on laws and regulations, illegal acts such as unauthorized access or threats, or other special reasons, AIST will not use collected information for purposes other than those specified in Section 2, nor will it disclose or provide such information to third parties. However, statistically processed information may be made public.

4. Security Measures

In accordance with its Fundamental Policy on Information Security, AIST shall take necessary measures to manage collected information appropriately and prevent leakage, loss, or damage.

5. Scope of Application

This Privacy Policy applies solely to the AIST website.
