Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI technology (G-QuAT)

The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) has been operating as a "Quantum Device Development Hub" dedicated to researching and developing quantum devices, as well as providing prototyping services essential for medium- to long-term projects in the next generation of computing. On July 27, 2023, AIST established the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI technology (G-QuAT) to become the leading international hub for industrial applications of quantum technology.

Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience AIST is recruiting researchers with expertise in information engineering or quantum information science to promote R&D of quantum and classical hybrid computing infrastructure with the aim of solving social issues using quantum technology. All applicants are desirable to have expertise in artificial intelligence or high-performance computing. Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience Permanent positions are open at G-QuAT. The successful candidates will contribute to the R&D activities of quantum hardware components in quantum computers and sensors. The candidates are expected to have a strong research record and have strong motivation to collaborate with industry and academic partners, for social implementation of quantum technologies, including research of needs in industry and development of seeds in the field.

Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience The Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology (G-QuAT) is recruiting the following researchers in order to promote the research and development of superconducting qubits from the viewpoint of material, device, and fabrication process for superconducting quantum computing technologies, Researcher who has expertise in fields such as superconducting quantum device and circuit, device-fabrication process, low temperature measurement, and microwave-electronics, and who promotes R&D of superconducting quantum device and process, by using AIST superconducting quantum circuit fabrication facility (Qufab).
