The Geological Survey of Japan gathers, compiles, and provides geological information and promotes its wider use. We also develop technologies to overcome various difficulties related to global environment protection, exploration of minerals and energy resources, and natural disaster mitigation, and coordinate international cooperation as a national representative.

Title Research of Earthquake Dynamics by Numerical Simulations
Details of Job Opportunity
We look for a researcher who can construct models to assess dynamic rupture propagation of inland earthquakes, based on fault rock properties and stress and strain fields, inferred from geological and geophysical observations including from laboratory experiments. The applicant is expected to have advanced experience and research achievements in numerical simulations of earthquake generation.
