Type A (Tenure-track position)/Type B (Tenured position)

The below-listed job opportunities are for both Type A (normally for 5 years) and Type B - which type of position applies will be determined following the selection process. The term for tenure track position may be shortened, e.g. 3 years or 4 years, commensurate with the candidate's previous achievements and professional experience. Research staff on tenure track are entitle to undergo a tenure rewiew one and a half years before the term ends.

Title Research and Development of Electronics and Device Technologies for Advanced Cyber-Physical System

Device Technology Research Institute and Spintronics Research Center are recruiting qualified researchers to work on one of the following research subjects: (i) low power consumption memory/logic or three-dimensional integration technology for highly efficient utilization of big data, (ii) LSI design technology for AI chip or technology for non-von Neumann type computing such as neuromorphic computing, (iii) quantum device fabrication or quantum simulation for the quantum computing/sensing that will bring disruptive innovation to future information processing, (iv) manufacturing technology for variable-quantity manufacturing of various products or integrated MEMS technology for developing various advanced devices. Applicants are expected to have experiences in at least one of the following fields: electronic devices/materials, circuit design, quantum information processing, and micro-fabrication/manufacturing. Applicants are also expected to actively absorb knowledge and technology in relevant fields and promote interdisciplinary R&D integrating different technologies.
