Title Research and development of methane hydrate resource development technology
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable
Skills and Experience
For the commercialization of natural gas production from methane hydrate reservoir, sedimental property analysis of natural oceanic cores and natural methane hydrate bearing cores, and simulation analysis to ensure the amount of production gas and ground stability during gas production are required.
We seek researchers with advanced knowledge and motivation in chemical engineering, resource engineering and reservoir engineering, earth science, and geotechnical engineering.

Period of Employment The term of appointment will be determined based on a review, covering the period up to March 31, 2030.

Title Fundamental Technologies for Performance Measurement of Next-Generation Solar Cells
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable
Skills and Experience
We are seeking researchers to contribute to the development of performance measurement technologies for next-generation solar cells. Candidates should possess experience in solar cell performance measurement, or in foundational fields such as optical measurement, electrical measurement, electrical/electronic engineering, or measurement engineering, and demonstrate a strong motivation to develop the technologies required for measuring the performance of next-generation solar cells.
In addition, "Implementation Policy on Voluntary Research Activities, etc. of Young Researchers Employed to Implement Projects under Competitive Research Funds" (February 12, 2020, Relevant Ministries Liaison Committee on Competitive Research Funds) Based on the agreement (agreed upon), after recruitment, those under the age of 40 will be eligible for voluntary research activities that contribute to the promotion of this research and improvement of research and management skills, up to a maximum of 20% of their effort, if approved by AIST. In some cases, employees may be permitted to engage in activities that contribute to their goals.
We also welcome those who do not have a doctoral degree but who are motivated to utilize their practical experience at a company for the social implementation of AIST's research and development.

Title Assessment of Impacts of Perovskite Solar Cell Deployment and Development of a Power Generation Simulation Model
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable
Skills and Experience
To support the wider adoption of perovskite solar cells for a zero-emission society, we are developing power generation simulation models that consider diverse installation conditions, including building structures and weather conditions. These models will be used to evaluate the potential benefits of deploying perovskite solar cells in urban areas. We are seeking highly motivated researchers with a background in energy engineering, systems engineering, architecture, or related fields, and with fundamental knowledge of solar cell simulation and performance evaluation.
