Title Research and development on quantum-AI hybrid computing infrastructure
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience AIST is recruiting researchers with expertise in information engineering or quantum information science to promote R&D of quantum and classical hybrid computing infrastructure with the aim of solving social issues using quantum technology. All applicants are desirable to have expertise in high-performance computing. All applicants are also expected to actively absorb knowledge in relevant fields, and promote interdisciplinary and international R&D integrating different technologies.
We also welcome those who do not have a doctoral degree but who are motivated to utilize their practical experience at a company for the social implementation of AIST's R&D.

Title Research and development of quantum sensing
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We are looking for researchers who have expertise in at least one of the fields of physics, chemistry, electrical and electronic engineering, materials science, solid state chemistry, and measurement engineering, and who will promote research and development of quantum sensing technology from sensor devices to systems, such as the use of diamond nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers. Title R&D on use-case exploration for quantum computers and Ising machines
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience With the aim of creating new industries using quantum technology, we are looking for researchers who will develop algorithms for quantum computers (noisy medium-sized quantum computers, error-tolerant general-purpose quantum computers) and ising machines (quantum/classical annealing machines), as well as theory and simulation to promote the search for use cases in fields such as materials science, drug discovery and medicine, finance, and safety and security. Title Research and development on quantum hardware
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We are looking for researchers who will promote research and development of hardware technologies used in quantum computers, quantum sensors, and quantum photonics (high-frequency materials, device development, component material evaluation, development of systems including refrigerators, etc., as well as material development and low-temperature characterization that contribute to the development of these components). In recruitment, regardless of the field of expertise, we emphasize the willingness to actively absorb knowledge and technology from other fields, and to promote integrated research and development, industry-academia collaboration, international collaboration, and challenging research and development across technical fields. Title Research on the design, manufacture, measurement and evaluation of superconducting quantum devices
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We are looking for researchers who will promote at least one of the control circuit design, device manufacturing, process development, and evaluation technologies for superconducting quantum computers consisting of large-scale integrated qubits. It is desirable to have expertise in one of the academic fields such as superconducting control circuits, device fabrication processes (superconductivity, semiconductors), cryogenic experimental technology, microwave engineering, etc., but it is important to promote research and development through design, manufacturing, and measurement, and actively recruit human resources with a strong desire to promote research and development regardless of their expertise.
