Title R&D on efficient use of thermal energy
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We recruit motivated researchers who can contribute to the R&D on energy-saving technologies through the efficient use of thermal energy. This includes research and development of high-efficiency, zero-emission engine technologies utilizing carbon-neutral fuels, as well as the advancement of thermal and fluid control technologies?such as refrigeration, air conditioning, and electronic device cooling?based on numerical simulations. Applicants should possess expertise in one or more of the following fields: mechanical engineering (particularly thermal, fluid, and combustion engineering), energy engineering, chemical engineering, systems engineering, control engineering, computational engineering, or related disciplines.

Title Resource recycling technology for essential materials
Job Summary and Essential/Desirable Skills and Experience We recruit a motivated researcher who will promote the development of innovative resource recycling technologies with the aim of improving Japan's self-sufficiency rate for essential materials such as metals and plastics. Specifically, applicants will develope advanced sorting for recycling of waste home appliances and waste plastics, and technology that contributes to the detection of lithium-ion batteries in waste, by making full use of image recognition and AI technology in addition to conventional dismantling, crushing, and sorting.
