FREA provided technical support for the seeds (technology-driven solutions) related to renewable energy for the companies in the areas (Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate Prefectures) damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake, from FY2013 to FY2017. We have started the new program called “Support Program for Development and Industrialization of Renewable-Energy-Related Technologies of Companies in Disaster Areas”, since FY2019.
In this new program, company’s consortiums in disaster areas aiming at commercialization and development of renewable energy products are focused on other than conventional scheme for individual company.
We accepted application from 26 December 2018 to 24 January 2019. After careful consideration at a committee on March, 7 consortium types and 7 individual types were chosen.
We have provided technical support for the seeds (technology-driven solutions) related to renewable energy for the companies in the disaster areas using our research equipment and know-how until end of FY2019. Further progress for commercialization of technologies developed is expected.
