The Fukushima Renewable Energy Institute (FREA) held the FY2016 Research Result Reporting Session on May 31, 2016 at the Koriyama View Hotel Annex (Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture). The debriefing session was attended by 332 participants, and the networking event was attended by 164 participants (excluding internal participants). Keynote speeches were made by a variety guests, including greetings by Toshiyuki Hata, the Vice Governor of Fukushima Prefecture, etc., and Yasuhiro Matsuyama, who is Director of the New and Renewable Energy Division, Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Department, Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. At this session, the latest research results were also introduced through lectures by people from companies that are implementing joint research with AIST in the Seeds Support Program, and posters by researchers in various research teams were exhibited.
