On August 25, 2016, Mieko Yoshimura, the governor of Yamagata Prefecture; Hirohiko Izumida, the governor of Niigata Prefecture; and Masao Uchibori, the governor of Fukushima Prefecture, visited FREA.
After a greeting from both sides and an explanation of AIST and FREA, the governors toured the research facility. They were explained on FREA’s research themes at the Renewable Energy Demonstration Field. Lastly, they visited an exhibition at FREA’s entrance hall to see examples of achievements of Seeds Support Program* and the result of other joint research with local companies.
