FREA’s FY2016 Summer Internship

FREA welcomed three student trainees (interns) from the National Institute of Technology, Fukushima College and Nihon University from August 2 to 10.
The trainees learned from the six research teams of FREA on various renewable energy sources, and toured renewable energy-related facilities around Koriyama, such as Tsuchiyu Onsen’s hot spring binary power plant and small-scale hydro power plant, as well as the Yanaizu-Nishiyama geothermal power plant, etc.
On the last day, August 10, a reporting session was held, and the interns presented the topics that they learned through training.
After this program, two of the students from the National Institute of Technology, Fukushima College, left for Australia for field trip as a program of the Tobitate! (Leap for Tomorrow) Study Abroad Initiative Program.
