How closely do robots resemble human beings today? One of the answers to this question that comes to mind is the cybernetic humanoid robot HRP-4C, "Miim" developed by AIST. It has the average height, weight, and appearance of a young Japanese female, and the expression of various emotions was made possible by combining an array of facial expressions, gestures, and voices. In addition, by adopting new control technology, a line has been drawn between HRP-4C and other humanoid robots, and it realizes a human-like way of walking.
