NRLM has been establishing and maintaining standards of length,
mass, time and frequency, temperature, and so on, along with research
on measurement technologies in science and industry. |

| Technical Consultation |
NRLM accepts requests for technical consultation on matters related
to its research activities by means of telephone conversations,

| Technical Guidance |
NRLM provides technical training in Tsukuba and also at Osaka
Measurement System Center. An application must be submitted to

| Laboratory Visits |
Those who wish to visit the laboratory are requested to apply

| Joint Research |
NRLM conducts joint research with privated sectors according to

| Symposium | NRLM holds a symposium once ever year to propagate its research

| Inspection and Verification |
NRLM conducts tests of pattern approval, inspection of verification
standards to check for instrumental error, comparison inspections,
some verification for measuring instruments, and other activities

| Testing Services |
NRLM provides testing services in certain fields. Fees for these

| Patent Licensing |
The property of inventions and contrivances produced through research
activities belongs to the Japanese government. Those who wish
to implement inventions are requested to submit an application
