NIRIN accepts requests for technical guidance based on its research outcomes, technologies, and know-how.
Acceptance
of
Trainees
NIRIN conducts technical training targeted at technical staff of public testing centers and also accepts overseas trainees through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Laboratory
Visits
NIRIN welcomes visitors to the institute. Those who wish to visit are requested to apply in writing in advance.
Joint
Research
NIRIN conducts joint research with private enterprises according to the "Rules for Joint Research" of AIST.
Contract
Research
NIRIN conducts research sponsored by private enterprises according to AIST regulations.
Testing
Services
NIRIN provides testing services in certain fields. Fees for these services are fixed by the Japanese Government.
Patent
Licensing
The property of inventions and contrivances produced through research activities belongs to the Japanese Government. Those who wish to implement inventions are requested to submit an application to the Japan Industrial Technology Association (JITA).
