The workshop “Technology and know-how on operation and maintenance (O&M) of photovoltaic systems” was held in FREA on November 4th, 2016

The workshop was held at FREA hosted by Fukushima Electric Power, Ltd. and Energy Network Team under the Seeds Support Program. There were 30 participants.
It is becoming more important of to share the information of various troubles and their countermeasures, because many photovoltaic power plants have been operated after the introduction of Feed-in Tariff (FIT) policy. In this workshop, four speakers made presentations about O&M of photovoltaic systems.
  • “Evaluation of actual energy yield and lessons learned from troubles of the Fukushima airport mega solar power plant”
Yasuhiro NAKAMURA, Energy Network Team, Renewable Energy Research Center, AIST
  • “Recent trends in PV monitoring systems”
Takayuki OGAWA, Manager, Research & Development Office, Professional Engineer, NIPPON KOEI CO., LTD.
  • “Comparison of pyranometer among manufacturers” and “Design concept of sustainable outdoor measurement systems”
    Hisanori TANAKA, CLIMATEC, Inc.
  • “Product lineup of I-V tester and bypass diode checker” for PV O&M.
Kazuyuki HIRAO, Submanager, Fukushima Office, Nippon Kernel System CO., LTD.
