Joined Department of Computer Sciences, School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo in 2001, but went abroad to enroll in the doctoral program in Department of Computer Science, UIUC in 2002. Specializes in computer vision and computer graphics. Works mainly in image-based high-precision 3-dimensional form replication and motion capture.
