Outline |
To develop basic and supportive technologies in drug discovery and medical treatment, we are looking for young researchers who have general or expert knowledge and experimental skills in the following research area; 1) metrology and measurement standardization of biological macromolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins, 2) functional and structural analyses of biological macromolecules, 3) molecular design and engineering of biological macromolecules, 4) analysis and elucidation of biological mechanisms in cells, or 5) modulation and utilization of biological mechanisms. | ||

In order to realize prevention of diseases, early diagnosis and treatment, and improvement of medical results, young or highly expert scientists are recruited, who will engage in the research on 1) evaluation of function for foods and materials and assessment and/or reduction of health-risk compounds, 2) molecular design to feature and improve biological functions, 3) detection, characterization, and measurement of biological molecules which regulate biological functions, 4) detection and identification of biomarkers for monitoring health states. | |

Research and development of technologies for efficient production of high-quality substances using bioprocesses
AIST is developing technologies to efficiently manufacture high-quality substances using bioprocesses (material production using biological functions) that provide much higher reaction selectivity than chemical processes. To develop these technologies, AIST is recruiting outstanding researchers in the fields of biology as well as agriculture, pharmacy and biochemistry.
