AIST, in its mission of realizing a sustainable society, has been promoting global research collaboration through its established global networks with leading research institutes around the world. Through the NIMT-JICA project, the transfer of metrology technology has taken place in collaboration with NIMT, one of Thailand’s national research institutes. Research cooperation is also being promoted with NSTDA andTISTR, which are also eminent research institutes in Thailand, in the area of Green Innovation.
This workshop is thus being held in order to introduce the Japan-Thailand collaboration on standards and conformity assessment, calibration technology, as well as actual examples of research cooperation on biodiesel fuels and photovoltaics between research institutes of both countries, for the purpose of promoting mutual exchange among research institutes and companies located in Thailand, including companies from Japan.
