Meet us at Hannover, Germany!The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan (AIST) will exhibit about 30 of its products, prototypes and seeds technologies at HANNOVER MESSE 2008, Hannover, Germany (running from 21st to 25th of April, 2008). We are looking forward to seeing you at the booths of AIST in the Japan Pavilion located in Hall 2 (Research & Technology).
The principle of AIST is that “AIST will work toward a sustainable society by taking a leadership role in industrial technology innovation in Japan”. Based on the principle, the concept of AIST’s exhibition at HANNOVER MESSE 2008 is “AIST (Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) for the Earth and Life”.
Exhibits of AIST include leading edge technologies in fields of new environment-friendly materials and processes, new-energy and energy-saving technologies, devices and robotics that support our daily life, and more. At least one scientist/engineer engaged in R&D of each exhibit will be in every booth. So, you can explore AIST’s technologies.
Besides the exhibition, “Germany-Japan Research Collaboration Workshop for Sustainability” will be held on 22nd of April. The workshop is organized by AIST, Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) and Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (FZK) aiming at strategic promotion of research collaboration. German and Japanese speakers including Prof. Peter Grünberg of FZJ, 2007 Nobel Prize laureate, will deliver lectures in the workshop.

What is HANNOVER MESSE 2008
HANNOVER MESSE 2008 is the world leading showcase for industrial technology, held at Hannover, Germany, from 21st to 25th of April, 2008. The event is organized by Deutsche Messe AG, and includes 10 international trade fares, 1,000 themed special presentations and forums. More than 5,000 companies/organizations from over 60 countries will exhibit their products and so on. Over 200,000 participants, as well as 3,000 journalists, are expected. Japan is the official Partner Country, and the Japan Pavilion (operated by JETRO) measuring 1,600 square meters will be opened in Hall 2. AIST exhibition booths will be in the Japan Pavilion.
