Researcher:　　　　Katsunari OIKAWA, Dr. Eng. - Research Outline of the Laboratory - 　We are constructing the base of technology for materials and process development and environment and energy problems. 　Our research covers: Preparing phase diagrams from thermodynamic consideration for the experimental results Total thermal analysis for crystal growth including thermal convection Cluster formation analysis by molecular dynamics calculation 　We are going to introduce first principle molecular dynamics and so on as a calculation method and to extend our calculation targets to more complex systems such as grain boundary, interfaces, and super-critical fluid. 　Our final goal is to develop a technique to know microscopic structures from various processes. 　Such a technique will make high performance, energy saving, and high speed design of materials be possible.
