Electrochmical behavior of Exfoliated Carbon Fibers in H2SO4 electrolyte with different concentrations |
| 概要 |
Exfoliated Carbon Fibers (ECFs) prepared from the nitric acid intercalation compounds of the graphitized pitch-based carbon fibers were used for the electrochemical capacitor electrodes in H2SO4 electrolyte. Cyclic voltammograms with three-electodes cell in 1M H2SO4 showed the well-developed rectangular curves indicating non-faradaic double layer capacitor behavior. The estimated capacitance from charge-discharge curve for a single electrode reached 117F/g though the material showed relatively small surface area of 300m2/g. The mechanism to give huge capacitance in H2SO4 was discussed from the dependence of capacitance with concentration of electrolyte. |
