The strip map of the surface
fault raptures associated with the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake,
central Japan -the Nojima, Ogura and Nadagawa Earthquake Faults-
(1:10,000)
A new strip map in the tectonic map series has been published
in December, 1998. In this map, the Nojima, Ogura and Nadagawa
Earthquake Faults are shown, which ruptured during the Hyogo-ken
Nanbu Earthquake of January 17, 1995 (Mj7.2; Mw6.9). It consists

The map sheet on a scale of 1: 10,000 covers the northern part
of the Awaji Island, and shows the trace with the data of displacements
and features of the surface fault ruptures. Moreover, it contains
landslide scarps and debris, tectonic landforms, outcrops of the
faults and the results from trench excavation survey on the geological
base map of the Late Pliocene to Quaternary. In the explanatory
text, the surface ruptures are shown in detail on the topographic
maps on a scale of 1: 2,500 (cf. the detailed
map).
