Introduction to GeoLis

GEOLIS: Copyright (c) 1980-1994, Geological Survey of Japan.

What is GEOLIS

GEOLIS (Geological Literature Search System) is the database of bibliography for geology of Japan, created and maintained by the Library of Geological Information Center, GSJ.

How do you use GeoLis in WWW GSJ

Enter 'GeoLis Year' and at least one keyword. Then click 'Submit Query' button and you will obtain a list of literatures which are sellected with keyword(s).

'GeoLis Year' is one of 80, ..., 94, that indicates the last two digits of year when the GSJ collected the literatures.

Keywords are author's name, name of a book or a journal, and any terms you want to look up. The length of a keyword is upto 32 characters including spaces.

There are three types of output code, ASCII(English), JIS7(Japanese) and Shift JIS. You can sellect the code using 'Output code' button.

How do you get GEOLIS

There are two types of GEOLIS, printing and floppy disc versions. Please contact with the following section:
