Directory of Geoscience Organizations of the World 1999

	This directory contains information on 378 organizations from 160
 countries and areas.  International organizations are listed at the end of the
 directory. Taking into account that the old version was very incomplete
 regarding university geoscience department, especially in developed countries,
 all the university organizations have been excluded from this new edition.
	We, as the ICOGS (International Consortium of Geological Surveys)
 Secretariat for Asia and the Pacific region, hope that this directory, which
 is based on the information obtained through our international activities,
 will also assist your international activities, especially in Asia and the
 Pacific region.
	A hard copy of this directory may be available from the following
 address. This edition still remains incomplete for many countries.  We would
 like to continue efforts to revise this directory.  Please send your
